Dear Member,

HealthShare and ISLHD management have been directing Food Services staff to enter “Red Zones” at Wollongong Hospital to deliver meals to infectious patients. This is placing Food Services workers at risk, due to the scabies outbreak!

HSU Food Services members have raised genuine WHS concerns about delivering meals into infectious areas and the prospect of spreading scabies across the whole hospital and wider community.

And, come to an important HSU meeting TUESDAY, 13 AUGUST in the FOOD SERVICES LUNCHROOM, Wollongong Hospital at 11.30am or 5.30PM to talk about the issue and next steps.
