UPA Riverina Restructure: Your Rights At Work
-
Published March 7, 2022
UPA has sent correspondence to the Health Services Union about its intention to restructure your workplace. Formal consultation is open until 11 March during which time redeployment and redundancies may be raised with members.
Throughout this process, members have rights. You have the right to:
- Be notified in writing what impact the change may have on you
- Time to consider any proposed changes
- The opportunity to ask questions or raise concerns, including refusing the change and/or offering alternative suggestions. Cuts to hours can occur, but only with redundancies or redeployment to a comparable position
- Say no – your contracted hours cannot be cut without your approval
- Be represented by the HSU at any meeting
It is very important that members are aware they should not sign any documents unless they are happy with the proposed change. Please ensure to get HSU assistance if you have any questions.
If you have any concerns or feedback about the change, please contact HSU Organiser Emmett Gray on 0499 919 355 or at [E-Mail not displayed].
Do you know someone who isn’t a member of the HSU? Send them this email and make sure they are represented. Being a member of the HSU means there’s always someone by your side, fighting for your rights. New members can join online at www.hsu.asn.au/join or call 1300 478 679 and join over the phone.
