Transfer of business: Presbyterian Aged Care to Walcha Council

As you are aware, Presbyterian Aged Care have announced their intention to transfer Aspley Riverview to Walcha Council in the first half of 2025.

HSU Officials have reached out to both Presbyterian Aged Care and Walcha Council to ensure that your entitlements, length of service and pay increases from the HSU’s Work Value Case are paid and transferred correctly. The transfer of business also means there will be a change to the industrial instrument that currently outlines your entitlements and conditions of employment. Under this proposal, employees will move from the Federal Aged Care Award to the Local Government State Award.

The HSU is here to support members throughout this process, to ensure you receive meaningful consultation and your employer meets all their industrial obligations.

Please be aware that your current contracted hours cannot be altered without your consent. If you have any questions or need representation, please contact your local Organiser Karen Wiles via [E-Mail not displayed].

While this may be a stressful time, your Union will be there to ensure your rights and entitlements are protected throughout the whole process.

Only HSU Members will be supported throughout the process, so now is the time to encourage your colleagues to join the HSU. New members can join at www.hsu.asn.au/join or call 1300 478 679.
