SNSWLHD Operations and Integrated Care Allied Health Cuts

AN ONLINE STOP-WORK MEETING THIS WEDNESDAY at 12:30PM TO DISCUSS THE CUTS. REGISTER USING THIS LINK.

SNSWLHD have notified the HSU they intend to make catastrophic cuts to Allied Health and Administration staffing across the District. Workloads are already dangerously high putting staff and patients at risk every day from the lack of support. The District now wants to cut deeper into the bone.

The proposal will reduce HSU members’ positions by roughly 15 FTE across Allied Health, Admin, and management positions.

This is breaking point. The staff and communities within SNSWLHD deserve better than this from a Government that promised no cuts! HSU members will be saying to SNSWLHD that it is no longer safe for staff to work in dangerous and understaffed departments with impossible workloads.

The District argues this proposal will create a more efficient approach to patient care. Unfortunately, they fail to provide any details about how the loss of FTE will lead to improved or safe patient care. There has been no risk assessment or considerations of staff safety provided in the correspondence to the HSU.

HSU members will be holding a stop-work meeting on Wednesday 6 November at 12:30pm to discuss the response to these cuts. You must register if you’re attending using this link.
