Ministry of Health: Infrastructure and Asset Management Division

The Ministry of Health has advised the HSU of the establishment of a new division: Infrastructure and Asset Management.

The Ministry states this new division will bring together functions currently managed within the Ministry and Health Infrastructure to ‘create a streamlined approach to capital planning, infrastructure delivery, and strategic asset management across NSW’.

The change involves two phases, with Phase 1 proposed to be implemented in mid-December. Phase 2 will commence next year and does not form part of this consultation.

The Ministry advises that several branches and teams will be impacted as part of Phase 1, including:

  • Strategic Reform and Planning Branch
  • Strategic Asset Management Branch
  • Corporate Services and Business Improvement Branch

Additionally, a number of teams within Health Infrastructure will undergo structural adjustments.
