Now is your chance to tell ICON management what you really think of its poor wage offer and show how strong the union is in your workplace!

As you know, ICON has rejected your claim for pay parity with your Queensland colleagues as part of bargaining your new enterprise agreement. ICON representatives will now be visiting worksites this week to plead the company’s case, test support for the offer and determine what needs to improve to make the offer acceptable.

This is your chance to show ICON the strength of the HSU radiation therapist collective in NSW and show them why they need to listen to you!

You should feel empowered to ask the tough questions at these meetings, including genuine feedback on the poor offer! Any pushback ICON receives during these sessions will potentially inform its approach to negotiations moving forward.

Your enterprise agreement bargaining committee is hard at work developing an acceptable counterproposal that considers the recent changes to radiation therapists’ wages in the public sector and at Lifehouse and will post it for consideration in the WhatsApp group shortly for feedback and endorsement.

But, in the meantime HSU members need to continue to grow the union at ICON. In July, ICON only passed on the largest ‘rem’ increase in years as negotiations kicked off because the HSU was growing in NSW.

Imagine what we could do if we keep growing and holding ICON management to account.
