Published September 3, 2024
Dear Member,
Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN) have advised HSU of proposed temporary changes in The Children’s Hospital Westmead (CHW) Emergency Department (ED).
Children’s Hospital Westmead is proposing to trial as 12-hour roster pattern for the Clinical Support Administration (CSA) positions in the Emergency Department. SCHN claims the purpose of the trial is to determine how clinical and family support can be enhanced by providing this continuity. Their aim is also to minimise the risk of miscommunication and duplication of tasks.
