NSWHP: SydPath transition to NSWHP for Moree and Narrabri
-
Published September 3, 2024
Dear Member,
St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney Limited (SdyPath) have advised HSU about transition of pathology services and staff from SydPath to NSW Health Pathology.
SydPath along with NSW Health Pathology (NSWHP) have informed HSU of the transfer of pathology services and staff at Moree and Narrabri District Hospitals from SydPath to NSWHP at the request of Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD). This is because the licence of the laboratory premises and provision of service at Moree and Narrabri is due to expire on 19 November 2024.
According to SydPath and NSWHP these transitions will occur in two phases. In Phase One, SydPath staff located at Moree hospital will be offered employment with NSW Health commencing 10 September 2024. In Phase Two, SydPath staff located at Narrabri will be offered employment with NSW Health commencing 19 November 2024.
At this stage there is no mention of any job loss because of this transition.
