For years HSU members have agitated and advocated that NSW Health employees performing scientific work and holding a scientific qualification should be recognised and remunerated as Hospital Scientists.  

After years of delay and excuses from NSW Health, NSW Health Pathology, and Local Health Districts, HSU members said enough is enough and lodged a case on behalf of two HSU members incorrectly classified as Technical Officers.  

HSU delegates involved in the case are excited and proud to share the outcome.  

At 3pm next Wednesday 11 September, HSU delegates and the industrial team will provide a statewide member briefing about the outcome of the Technical Officers with degrees case.
