Dear Member,
Every worker deserves a safe workplace. HSU members can stand up for safety at your workplace by ensuring you report all incidents, near misses and hazards are reported through the Incident Management System as soon as reasonably practicable.
Reporting safety issues ensures your Work Health and Safety concerns can’t be ignored or swept under the carpet over time. Remember – “If it’s not written down, it didn’t happen!”.
It is also your duty of care to ensure your own safety and the safety of others by documenting all WHS concerns immediately and speaking up about excessive workload, short staffing and bullying in your workplaces.
It has never been so important to speak up and document all WHS concerns with SNSWLHD working towards a reduction of 100 FTE positions over the next three years.
Your union at work
Everyone affected by ongoing WHS concerns or job cuts needs to be a union member. Tell your colleagues now is the time to join!
New members can join at www.hsu.asn.au/join or call 1300 478 679 or contact HSU organiser [E-Mail not displayed] for assistance.
