SESLHD - Proposed job cuts
-
Published September 24, 2024
South Eastern Sydney Local Health District wants to slash $7.5 million from their annual salary budget. This proposal will result in fifty-five jobs being cut! Say no to these cuts at your local rally.
Management are proposing to slash jobs in two tranches:
- Phase 1, mid-July: The District proposes to delete 37.7 full time equivalent (FTE) positions and create 9 FTE. This means 28.7 jobs are cut.
- Phase 2, from mid-September: The District proposes to delete 77.85 FTE positions and create 51 FTE. This means a further 26.85 jobs are cut. In Phase 2, the biggest cuts are to Telephonist positions, Health Manager positions, and Administration Officer positions: all front-line staff, or so the now-Government said during COVID.
Take action against these cuts!
- Randwick campus rally: Thursday 3 October, 12 noon at the High St entry of POW.
- Sutherland Hospital meeting: Tuesday 1 October, 12 noon (venue TBC).
- St George Hospital meeting: Wednesday 9 October, 12 noon (venue TBC).
