PTO Training Dispute Update

Published March 23, 2022
As you know, the HSU has been fighting for Patient Transport Officers (PTOs) engaged by Local Health Districts to be paid for all time spent in mandatory training.
This matter was due to be heard by the Industrial Relations Commission next month. However, NSW Health proposed a settlement to the HSU that members who were required to undertake training in their own time be paid six days pay (less tax).
HSU members overwhelmingly agreed to this settlement offer.
We are now seeking the details of any member working as a PTO in a Local Health District who undertook mandatory training in their own time.
If you think you may be eligible for this payment, please email your details to [E-Mail not displayed] with the subject line PTO Payment.
The HSU will then arrange for the payment to you.
