Following up the questions and concerns raised during the recent site visit at Chow Cho-Poon Nursing Home, your local Organiser Hyojung Kim contacted local management on your behalf and obtained the following confirmation:

1. The 10:30am to 8:45pm shift is not and can’t be regular shift hours. It was, according to management, “a one-off offer made by the employer and agreed by the employees”.
2. Australian Nursing Home Foundation (ANHF) pays overtime loading according to the ANHF Enterprise Agreement (EA); this includes the circumstance where an employee works in excess of 10 hours per shift according to clause 17 of the EA.
3. Your hours as per your employment contract can be reviewed and adjusted only by mutual consent. Please contact your union for assistance.
