Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD) has advised the HSU of the proposed amalgamation of the structure for New England North-West Mental Health Service which incorporates Peel, Tablelands and Mehi Sectors within Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD).

The district proposes to incorporate the Peel, Tablelands, and Mehi Mental Health sectors into the one New England North-West Mental Health service, with all inpatient units and community services realigned as one service.

The proposal involves several changes to management positions across the affected sectors.
