Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital: Security server issues
-
Published August 22, 2024
Dear Member,
HSU members at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital have raised concerns about ongoing issues with the security department’s access to control server ProWatch.
These issues have been occurring for more than six months and, according to workers, a recent attempt to fix the matter has only made the problem worse. Issues with access have become increasingly worse over the past two months, including crashes that limit security’s ability to issue new access cards and access issues with existing cards.
If you experience any issues with access when ProWatch is not working, it’s important you put in an IMS. These issues are frustrating and can become a WHS issue, and security workers are especially concerned that this has gone on for so long without being addressed.
Hospital management have been put on notice to fix the problem. If you have specific concerns in the meantime, please contact the corporate services manager, Rizwan Rahman, or the security manager, Scott Garside.
Please pass this on to your colleagues.
