ParaEd Webinar 27 August: Recreational Drug Toxicology
-
Published August 22, 2024
The next free live CPD webinar will be held Tuesday, 27 August 18:00 – 19:00 AEST.
Join ParaEd and the people behind the Emerging Drugs Network of Australia (EDNA) as they look at new and emerging recreational drugs and their toxicology.
Recreational drugs represent around 8 per cent of cases in emergency departments.
This webinar will be an exploration of the different, novel, psychoactive drugs out there, and includes information on cathinones, hallucinogenics, synthetic cannabinoids and their mechanism of action and clinical presentations.
There will also be an introduction to EDNA and how it is informing what is causing harm in communities throughout Australia.
Participating live will fulfil 60 minutes of the required eight hours of interactive CPD. We encourage both private and public sector paramedics to take advantage of this training!
The flyer link also includes a discount code for the Australasian College of Paramedicine International Conference 2024 (ACPIC24) from 11-13 September. HSU is a sponsor of ACPIC24 and the first 70 HSU members (including student members) to buy a ticket can receive $70 off using the code ACPHSU70!
