HealthShare café closures update – executives need to meet with YOU

Dear Member,
Following from the news last week HealthShare was willing to meet in person to discuss the proposed retail closures at John Hunter and Manning Base, HealthShare have now announced tomorrow’s meeting will be with members directly engaged in these areas, HSU officials and the HSU sub-branches.
While members welcome the talks, HealthShare needs to be meeting with the broader membership – you!
Your sub-branch executives have called for an open, town hall-style meeting, so HealthShare executives can hear from all of you. Because of this, we will not be presenting the petition to executives tomorrow, instead holding it off until HealthShare agrees to meet with you in a more open, appropriate meeting.
Sub-branch presidents will arrange members meetings for next week to discuss next steps.
Do you know someone who isn’t an HSU member? Encourage them to join our Union today and have a say at work. We are always stronger when we stand together.
New members can join at www.hsu.asn.au/join or call 1300 478 679.
