South Eastern Sydney Local Health District has advised the HSU of their intention to slash $7.5 million from their annual salary budget through job cuts to management and administrative structures across the District.
Given the scale of the change, implementation is planned in two phases. Phase 1 is proposed to commence in mid-July and Phase 2 will commence consultation from mid-September.
In phase 1, the District proposes to delete 37.7 full time equivalent (FTE) positions and create 9 FTE with a net reduction of 28.7 FTE.
