Manning Base Hospital: Time to act against HealthShare’s proposed cafe closure!

COME TO AN IMPORTANT MEETING WEDNESDAY, 7 AUGUST AT 12.30PM AND TELL HEALTHSHARE “HANDS OFF OUR CAFETERIA!”

Dear Member,

At last week’s strongly attended branch meeting, members discussed and condemned the proposed closure of the Stitches Cafe. Since then they’ve been busy getting organised!

More and more workers across Manning Base and John Hunter Hospitals have been throwing their support behind the campaign to stop HealthShare’s proposed closures.

Now it’s now time to step it up a gear! On Wednesday, 7 August at 12.30pm HSU members will launch the petition calling for HealthShare to reverse their outrageous decision. You can print off a flyer HERE.

 What can I do?

HSU members have fought proposals like this before, and we’ve won.

Speak to your colleagues, let them know what’s happening and tell them to come to the petition launch. Grab some copies of the petition and ask colleagues, friends and family to sign. This isn’t just a union issue, it’s a community issue. The only way we’re going to win and stop HealthShare closing our cafeteria is if we all stand together and tell them “Hands off our cafeteria!”.

Know someone who isn’t an HSU member? Encourage them to join our Union today and have a say at work. We are always stronger when we stand together.

New members can join at www.hsu.asn.au/join or call 1300 478 679.
