Hunter Valley Mental Health: Change of reporting lines, Consultation Liaison Service

The HSU has received correspondence from Hunter New England Local Health District to advise of a proposed change of reporting lines for the Consultation Liaison (CL) service within Hunter Valley Mental Health Services, located at Maitland Hospital.

HNELHD says the intention for this change is to align the CL service to ‘more appropriate CL specialised Management that mirrors John Hunter and Belmont Hospitals, facilitating consistent patient care across all three (3) locations’.

Management have stated this is a change of reporting lines only, without any changes to the role, scope, or responsibilities of the position.
