HSU members have secured a back pay claim for Security Officers at RNSH, dating back to when affected members were first employed under HealthShare.

A determination was made in the IRC that ruled that the infectious cleaning allowance would be applicable to be paid to security officers from 1 July 2021. This allowance was to be payable to employees who in any shift assist in the lifting and/or transporting of infectious patients.

The HSU made representations on behalf of eligible members, with a claim of $4194 being back paid.
