Hospital Scientist Award Variation Update
-
Published May 13, 2022
Join HSU Industrial Officers and Hospital Scientist members on Thursday 19 May at 6pm for an update on the changes to Hospital Scientist Awards proposed by the Ministry of Health and NSW Health Pathology.
Last year, NSW Health applied to the NSW Industrial Relations Commission to vary the Hospital Scientists (State) Award and the Health Professional and Medical Salaries (State) Award. An initial IRC hearing was held for this matter in December 2021.
The HSU has opposed the changes because we do not believe they deliver benefits to HSU members and the varied Awards have not been created in a collaborative and consultative manner. There are many issues with the proposed varied Awards and the variation may negatively impact members of the HSU.
The HSU continues to prepare our formal response to the proposed changes to the Awards put forward by NSW Health. The Union’s evidence and submissions are due shortly. In the meantime, HSU Industrial Officers will provide a statewide update to members on the progress of the case and steps moving forward.
The meeting will be held on zoom and registration is required. Please register below:
