HNELHD: Update, CAMHS Clinical Leadership Restructure

Hunter New England Local Health District has provided the HSU with an update regarding the proposed changes to the Clinical Leadership structure of Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) within the District.
Following initial consultation with HSU members, the District has made some adjustments to its proposal. These include:
- Wiyiliin ta service to report directly to Service Manager, Yimamulinbinkaan Aboriginal MHS and SEWB Workforce (YAMHS), via Wiyillin ta Team Leader. (Clinical governance will be embedded within CAMHS and YAMHS)
- Centralised Intake to report to Special Programs and Partnerships Health Manager
- PIMHS, YES and COPMI to report to Special Programs and Partnerships Health Manager, with a co-location relationship to a site-based Team Leader
- Team Leader Greater Newcastle to manage Newcastle and Lake Macquarie Community teams
- Team Leader New England North-West to manage New England North-West Community team and School Link Coordinators
- Allied Health Level 4 Social Worker and Occupational Therapy with district wide scope and accountabilities to report directly to CAMHS Service Manager with a co-location relationship with a site-based Team Leader
