HNELHD proposed changes to CAMHS

Dear Member,
Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD) has advised the HSU of a proposed restructure to Clinical Leadership, Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). The district proposes all HNELHD CAMHS community and inpatient services be realigned to operate as one service, reporting to the CAMHS service manager and CAMHS clinical director.
The district proposes to create the following roles:
- Greater Newcastle Team Leader – Allied Health Level 6/Snr Clinical Psychologist position
- New England / North-West & CAMHS Centralised Intake (CCI) Team Leader – (same classification as above)
- CAMHS Special Programs & Partnerships Manager – Health Manager Level 2
- CAMHS Hunter Valley & Manning Team Leader – Allied Health Level 5
- Rural & Regional Clinical Coordinator – (multidisciplinary Lvl 5)
- Aboriginal Mental Health Trainees (two positions)
