WSLHD: Proposed changes to rosters, Blacktown Hospital Security
-
Published October 18, 2024
Western Sydney Local Health District has advised the HSU of a proposed change to the rosters for the Security Department at Blacktown Hospital.
Following HSU intervention and a disputes meeting held on Wednesday 16 October, the District has provided the HSU with the projected roster for the next 18 months, for the purposes of allowing HSU members to engage in genuine consultation.
The District is proposing the following changes:
- Alignment of the roster to have all security officers (excluding Seniors) into the same roster pattern.
- Security officers will rotate throughout their shifts through all facilities in Blacktown Hospital. This includes all Hospital Blocks (A, B, C), Emergency Department, and all other areas within the campus.
- The introduction of a rotating duties pattern across Blacktown Hospital will result in each officer undertaking a minimum of 3 hours per shift in the Emergency Department.
