Update: NSLHD Allied Health Cuts

HSU Allied Health and Administration members will commence industrial action at the start of shift today, Thursday 17 October. You can read the full list of actions here.

Three weeks ago, HSU members came together and asked NSLHD executives some simple questions. Management have failed to answer most of these questions.

Instead, they contacted the Union at 4.51pm yesterday making empty threats. This is a transparent attempt by management to ram through cuts to Allied Health and Administration.

Today is the day to step up and show management that we mean action.

Management have asked for a 2pm meeting today which your delegates will attend and report back to the membership.

HSU members taking action have the support of 51,000 other health workers and any attempt to intimidate HSU members in NSLHD out of taking action will be treated extremely seriously.

NSLHD also provided a response to the HSU resolutions and questions, a summary of these responses is provided below:

These misdirecting responses to genuine requests to work together to ensure services are sustainably provided leave members with no choice but to act.

HSU members do not take industrial action lightly. It is important that during this period HSU members support each other and reach out to other members, your local delegate and Union office for any support you require.

A full member brief will be provided post-meeting with Executive today.
