With the new Emergency Department up and running from last Wednesday and the transition of theatre services occurring throughout this week, HSU members have contacted the Union to raise multiple issues, including:

1. Safety issues with the new Day Surgery reception desk
2. Workload issues for cleaners and orderlies
3. Lack of space for clean linen trollies in the CASB dock
4. Lack of training and orientation to the CASB
5. Communication issues between the Executive and Departments
6. Positions still not filled.

Many of these issues were raised with management by the Union leading up the opening of the CASB.

All members are now invited to an urgent Union meeting to discuss these concerns and the Union’s response.
