Violence Prevention Management Training for Peer Support Workers - give us your feedback

Published April 18, 2023
Union members have reported that Peer Workers may be being pressured into completing the Violence Prevention Management (VPM) training. The HSU Peer Support Workers Committee will be looking into these concerns.
The Peer Workers Committee is concerned that requiring Peer Workers to complete VPM training raises several safety issues, is not trauma informed, and may be improper.
The Committee needs to hear from you! If you have experience with this issue then please share it today so we can understand the scale of the problem. Complete this survey today.
The Committee will convene to work on the appropriate next steps after reviewing the feedback in this survey. So, please keep your eye out for future updates and an invitation to a state-wide members meeting.
Please click on this link to complete the survey. It will close Tuesday 25th April 2023.
