Union Win! HealthShare agrees to USCC ahead of CHEF implementation

Well done! HealthShare have agreed to conduct fortnightly USCC meetings and consult with workers ahead of rolling out the CHEF Pilot Program after HSU members raised serious concerns.

Project CHEF is due to go live in late January/early February 2025 at Rankin Park but so far HealthShare has inadequately consulted workers about the process.

HSU members raised concerns about the lack of consultation and reminded HealthShare of its obligations under the award. Management have now conceded to fortnightly USCC meetings from Monday, 25 November.

The USCC is a forum for consultation and discussion between management and union delegates and typically occurs when major changes, reforms or restructures are planned that will have a significant impact on workers.

This only happened because HSU members stood together and told management it needed to consult workers!
