We won! Yesterday the Fair Work Commission advised the HSU and Genesis Care that it would make the majority support determination (MSD) sought by the HSU. You can read the Fair Work Commission’s decision here.

This win belongs to the union members who fought for it.

This means that Genesis Care must give notice to all employees about the commencement of enterprise bargaining within 14 days.

The HSU is requesting a meeting to formally commence negotiations, and we will shortly distribute a survey to indicate what you would like to see in your Enterprise Agreement.

We can now negotiate for improvements at work above and beyond the legal minimum. You now have a voice in the workplace.

This is a fantastic win for employees at Genesis Care. It goes to show just how powerful collective action can be!
