It’s time for action! Members at the Lismore Base Hospital have endorsed a hospital-wide stop work this Thursday from 12:30pm to 4:30pm opposite the LBH main entrance on the Southern side of Uralba Street. Members will be protesting at the Member for Lismore’s Electoral Office at 55 Carrington Street, Lismore between 12:30pm and 1:30pm before proceeding back to Uralba Street for the remainder of the strike action.
This Government has come out and offered health workers a pathetic 4% pay rise. This won’t even keep up with the cost of living. The Government is happy to see health workers’ wages go backwards.
The new NSW Government is breaking its promises to health workers. They promised:
- To abolish the unfair wages cap and give health workers a fair pay rise
- An end to the theft of salary packaging tax savings
- To overhaul our out-of-date awards
- A Royal Commission into NSW Health
Health workers will not let this Government walk away from their promises.
It’s time to take action.
Join your workmates this Thursday from 12:30pm to 4:30pm at Lismore Base Hospital.
