We rallied, we lobbied, we organised – and we were part of changing the Federal Government so they would Change Aged Care.

And last night, the new Federal Government wrote to the Fair Work Commission that it will be making a submission to our Work Value Case.

This is huge. For the first time since we launched our Work Value Case, the Fair Work Commission can have no doubts that we have the support of the Federal Government.

We did this. Every member who stood out the front of Parliament House, who met with politicians, who spread the word at work, who never gave up hope that we can Change Aged Care – this is your win. It was HSU members who campaigned for the new Federal Government to make a submission to our Work Value Case and now they have delivered.

Today is a great day – but as HSU members we won’t stop. The new Federal Government made strong commitments on aged care, and together we must hold them to every one of them.
