Come to the important meetings on TUESDAY, 29 October (6.30 am, 2.15 pm, or 4.00 pm) about major changes to your rosters!

Anglicare have contacted the HSU about changes to rosters at The Terraces Paddington as part of its “standardisation” of rosters.

Your HSU organiser Hyojung Kim will be attending the staff meetings on Tuesday, 29 October 2024 as your representative. It’s vital HSU members come to the meetings and have their say! Meetings are scheduled for 6.30am, 2.15pm and 4pm on Tuesday.

Know your rights:

It is important members are aware of their rights at work during major workplace change.

You have the right to;

• Be consulted about the change. Consultation includes time to consider the change, to raise concerns, and to have those concerns properly addressed.
• Say no! Contracted hours cannot be cut without your approval. Cuts to jobs can occur, but only with a redundancy or redeployment to a comparable position.
• Ensure you are represented by the HSU when discussing major workplace change.
• Request any changes to your job be provided in writing and time to consider your response. Don’t feel rushed. Major changes to your job can have lasting impacts for you and your family.
• Join the HSU! Workers can only push back when they’re united!
