Temporary Closure Disability Day Programs
-
Published July 28, 2021
Last night the NSW Government announced that Disability Day Programs located in the Greater Sydney region (Metro Sydney, Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong and Shellharbour) should cease all activities in group settings from 6pm 27 July until 10 August. Click here to read to the announcement.
What your Union is Doing:
The Health Services Union is writing to Disability Services requesting information on:
- What worksites will be impacted;
- What support will be provided to staff during the temporary closure;
- What work/alternative duties can be undertaken by staff; and
- Confirmation that staff impacted by the temporary closures will continue to be paid their regular contracted hours.
For members who work outside the Greater Sydney region we will continue to monitor the situation and report on any changes.
GET IN TOUCH:
If you receive information from your employer that your wages will not be paid, or that you are being stood down while your Day Program Service is temporarily closed, please contact HSU Member Services on 1300 478 679.
In unity,
