Following on from the Zoom meeting with members in Domestic Services at Prince of Wales Hospital last Thursday, I would like to advise of assurances the HSU has received from the Ministry of Health and local hospital management.

No unvaccinated staff should be directed to work on wards that are currently high risk due to Covid 19. Those wards are ICU, ED, Respiratory and wards where Covid 19 patients are being treated. Also, staff working on those wards should have Fit Tested masks. You should also have adequate PPE.

Given the seriousness of this matter your union needs to be sure that these guidelines are being followed at all worksites. Please take a few minutes to fill in the survey here.
