SWSLHD STARTTS Restructure of Corporate and Executive Area
-
Published December 27, 2024
NSW Service for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors (STARTTS) is proposing a change in structure to the Corporate Services area affecting 48 positions.
The proposed changes include:
- Establishment of a new Operations Co-ordinator position that will take responsibility for oversight of administration, human resources, physical resources, internal policy, and for work, health and safety.
- Establishment of a Policy Officer position.
- The transfer of some additional responsibilities to the Chief Financial Officer including oversight of Information and Communications Technology, fleet management and risk. This will include the implementation of a new agency-wide risk management system.
- Establishment of a position in the Executive team focused on the use of Artificial Intelligence at STARTTS.
- Significant enhancements to STARTTS funding from 2023-24 to 2026-27 and enhancements to corporate services across the Forum of Australian Services for Survivors of Torture and Trauma (FASSTT) network. This follows on from a significant increase in resources for direct client work post a 2022 national review of the largest recurrent funding source for STARTTS, the Program of Assistance for Survivors of Torture and Trauma (PASTT).
- Enhanced capacity of the Executive to review and approve the expected increased output from enhanced Policy and Risk Management areas.
- The transfer of responsibility for oversight of communications including public relations, events and digital marketing to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
