SWSLHD Engineering Services: Proposed implementation of Smart Card system
-
Published May 22, 2024
The HSU has received correspondence from South Western Sydney Local Health District about the proposed replacement of paper timesheets with the Smart Card System for employees in Engineering Services.
District Engineering Services intend to extend the use of staff access cards (Smart Card System) for staff to electronically sign in and out of their shifts at a dedicated Smart Card Reader which will be in the Engineering Office at each facility. The proposed change would apply to all staff within the District Engineering Services across SWSLHD.
Of particular note is that SWSLHD has stated staff working from Community Health Centres would be required to start and finish from a main hospital.
The proposed implementation date is 17 June 2024.
