The HSU recently issued a newsletter about a proposed change to the payment of the in-charge allowance for carers.

Following concerns raised by members, your local organiser contacted Calvary management, who advised the in-charge allowance will still be paid to carers on shifts when there is no RN present. In these instances, the manager at St Paul’s will advise staff on the ‘run sheet’ who will be in charge and that staff member will be paid the in-charge allowance.
