As you know, St Vincent’s Health Australia has made the decision to decommission St Joseph’s Hospital Auburn by the end of September. Obviously this raises many questions and concerns for staff at St Joseph’s.

The HSU is holding a Town Hall meeting for members at 11am this Friday 23 June. Make sure you come along to hear the latest updates and ask any questions you may have.

At this stage management have said redundancies are not being offered and that all staff will be redeployed to either another SVHA facility or to Western Sydney Local Health District.

The HSU is currently in discussions with Western Sydney LHD about how redeployments will work. Members will be kept informed with any developments as soon as they come to hand.
