St. John of God (Richmond & Burwood Hospitals) bargaining update

Published July 8, 2024
Dear Member,
Your employer has advised the HSU it will be distributing a draft enterprise agreement on Monday for you to consider and vote on between 16-22 July.
Despite members’ feedback around the financial pressure workers are experiencing, your employer has refused to improve the wage increase.
The offer remains:
- 5 per cent increase from 1 July 2024
- 3 per cent from 1 July 2025
with an extra 1 per cent for non-clinical staff back paid to 1 July 2023 if the agreement is voted up.
There have still been some wins in these negotiations, with superannuation to be paid on periods of parental leave, time in lieu to accrue at overtime rates, and three-hour minimum engagement for casual employees.
What next? If you think St. John of God’s offer isn’t good enough, vote NO and encourage your colleagues to join the HSU and take action!
