SESLHD: Proposed transition to single Aged Care Assessment Program

Dear Member,

The HSU has received correspondence from Southeastern Sydney Local Health District about a proposed transition to a single unified Aged Care Assessment Program (ACAP) for the district.

SESLHD says the aim of the new single assessment system is to simplify and improve how older people access aged care services, by removing the need for them to seek assessments through multiple assessment services as their needs change.
