Operations Managers to meet with Ministry of Health

It seems that the Ministry of Health has noticed that ADHSU Operations Managers were planning action.

Last week, Ops Managers endorsed a variety of collective actions, including wearing blues, yellow shields, and working to rule, wherein they refuse to do any overtime beyond what they are paid for. This was in response to the Ministry of Health’s withdrawal of their award offer, which included penalties for overtime and on call, and protections from excessive overtime.

Just as members were gearing up for action, the Ministry of Health has indicated a willingness to meet, with the potential of reinstating their previous offer. On that basis, ADHSU Ops Manager delegates have paused today’s meeting and tomorrow action.

The HSU office has reached out seeking an urgent meeting with senior Ministry officials for Ops Manager delegates to progress the existing log of claims.

While the meeting scheduled for 1:30pm today has been cancelled, stay tuned for further updates for the meeting with the Ministry. These will come very soon.
