NSW Health Pathology has advised the HSU of a proposed change to the Griffith Hospital pre-analytical Laboratory roster for Technical Assistants.

NSWHP states that a trial was conducted between July 2024 - September 2024, which has resulted in the service deciding on the following permanent changes, intended to take effect 28 October 2024:

• The Ward-Round weekend shift start time has been trialled to change from an 07:30am – 4:00pm (30 min lunch) shift to a 6:00am – 2:30pm (30 min lunch) shift.
• Flexibility is still available for staff to start at 07:30am to 4:00pm with prior notification to their line manager
• 6:00am - 2:30pm shifts are already incorporated into the Monday to Friday roster
