NSLHD Allied Health & Admin: Vote results are in

HSU Allied Health and Administration members have successfully fought back against severe cuts to staffing and services across NSLHD. HSU members voted 80% in favour of accepting NSLHD’s most recent offer and pausing District wide industrial action.

HSU members should be proud of their collective voice raised against cuts which have started at Government and made their way down to LHDs. HSU members in NSLHD have been successful because we stood together.

To be clear, this pause in industrial action is entirely conditional on NSLHD not commencing any staffing cuts within the district. Members agreed that bans will be re-implemented immediately and escalated if NSLHD proposes any cuts.

This means that members should remove all bans commencing on your first shift on Wednesday 13 November.

This is only the beginning of HSU Allied Health’s campaign for safe staffing and attraction and retention of staff. In the coming weeks, you will receive information about Award Reform meetings to begin endorsing the HSU claims for Allied Health Award Reform. This campaign will require the same collective action from members to be successful.

Note: MVH Allied Health members continue local industrial actions relating to your local staffing dispute.
