As the application for Protected Action Ballot continues, so too does our fight for better wages and conditions.

As part of this process, we are now required to meet with the company before the Fair Work Commission (FWC) in an attempt to resolve outstanding issues before industrial action takes place.

This conference will take place on 22 August and will be attended by your fellow members on the HSU Bargaining Committee.

The FWC has powers to conciliate, mediate, and make orders to come to a resolution. How productive the conference will depend on the company’s willingness to resolve the outstanding items on our log of claims.

Your Bargaining Committee will meet on Tuesday 15 August prior to the FWC conference. Any updates will be posted on the HSU members WhatsApp group.
