Nominations are once again being called from HSU members for HSU Delegate of the Year. The awards will be presented to the winners at the HSU Annual Conference in July.
This award recognises HSU NSW/ACT/QLD members for excellence as a union delegate. Nominations will be accepted for delegates from Public Health, Allied Health, Private Health, Aged Care / Disability and Ambulance.
Delegates play a crucial role in building strong, active union workplaces.
If you know a great union delegate, you can nominate them for this award using the online form here. You’ll be asked to provide a short statement to say why your delegate demonstrates the nomination criteria. All nominations will require a seconding member.
A panel of HSU members will select the delegates of the year.
When making a nomination the following criteria should be considered:
- Are they a financial member of our union?
- Are they involved in significant union activity and action?
- Have they worked to strengthen the union?
- Have they displayed courage in representation of other members?
- Have they worked on union/community activity beyond the boundaries of their workplace?
- Are they supportive of members in other areas of the union and their campaigns?
If you are unable to use the online form, nominations with a short statement about the delegate can also be sent to [E-Mail not displayed].
Nominations close on 12 June 2024.
