So, what now? After the clear and decisive outcome of the vote, your HSU Bargaining Team wrote to SNP, demanding management come back to the table. In positive news, SNP has agreed and a meeting will take place on Thursday 8 September to restart negotiations – with the clear message to the SNP executive that they will have to come up with a better deal.

Next week will see your HSU Bargaining Team sit face-to-face with Sullivan Nicolaides at the table. This is the first in-person meeting this year, which serves as proof that SNP is taking this seriously. Your HSU Bargaining Team will continue to passionately argue for all the claims that you told us were important to you.

Our key claim – rates of pay – is of critical concern given the current cost of living. Other claims like classifications, part-timers, a three-year agreement, and proper consultation – all of these are non-negotiable.
