HSU Members in the Social Work Department have raised concerns when working late and being called in on call.
Staff have reported that they have felt fatigued and tired while driving home.
Your HSU Organiser raised this with the Director Allied Health; Chief Allied Health Information Officer, Sydney Local Health District who has confirmed the below:
Social Workers who might be working late and would prefer to get home via a taxi (if fatigued/tired) can go to NARMU and request a taxi voucher.
Management of the Social Work Department have been asked to send correspondence to NARMU to indicate this is the plan so everyone is aware of the process.
