Members at Carol Allen House have contacted the HSU on Tuesday informing that the facility is to be closed by the end of November this year. This quick closure has come as a shock to staff, residents and families.

Anglicare HR is set to be on site holding meetings with members next week or in the near future. If you have a meeting scheduled and would like representation, please contact your HSU organiser Marion Jennings on 0427 081 887 ASAP.

It is important that members know their rights in any change process:

•           Right to be consulted about the change. That gives you the right to raise any issues with the change and management must give consideration to those issues.

•           Right for the changes to be put to you in writing and time to consider them.

•           Your contracted hours cannot be changed without your agreement.

•           Redeployment needs to be with your agreement and needs to be to a site within reasonable travel times and distances. Do not sign anything you are not happy with.
