HSU members have been calling for NNSWLHD’s plan for Murwillumbah Hospital for many months. We have now finally received official correspondence from management about the future of the hospital – please view the letter at this link. 

Services will still be maintained at the Murwillumbah Hospital similar to what is provided to the community currently. Importantly, NNSWLHD management has advised that there are no staff reductions at Murwillumbah once the Tweed Valley Hospital is opened. 

This is good news but members are reminded to remain vigilant. If any reduction of services does take place, members are urged to contact HSU Member Services via [E-Mail not displayed] or 1300 478 679.
